Whether you have a backyard pet or a seasoned performance horse, strong emphasis should be placed on preventive care. Routine vaccinations, diagnostic screening tests, parasite control and dentistry are some of most important aspects of maintaining a long and healthy life.

Vaccinations

Our vaccination programs are established for individual horses based on their age, risk of exposure, use, geographic area and environment. We’ll discuss the individual needs of each horse and develop a vaccine program to fit their lifestyle.

Dentistry

We offer comprehensive oral exams, equilibration/floating, dental radiographs, and extraction of diseased teeth.

Deworming

Effective parasite control is essential for the maintenance of optimal health and performance. Drug-resistant parasites have been reported globally and subsequently the strategies to effectively control equine internal parasites have changed considerably over the last decade.

Prior to completing her veterinary degree, Dr. Carroll obtained a Master’s degree in Veterinary Parasitology under the supervision of Dr. Tom Craig at Texas A&M University. She has a strong interest in anthelmintic (dewormer) resistance amongst grazing animals and is passionate about helping clients understand the epidemiology and management of equine parasites.
